Story
The wide dome shade hangs low, its hammered copper surface formed into a broad half-sphere that directs light downward onto the surface below. The metal’s thickness keeps the fixture steady on its cord, while the dimpled exterior breaks up reflections and reduces sharp glare during daily use.
Each shade is shaped in small workshop batches where pacing and hand rhythm affect how closely the hammer marks sit beside one another. With handling and air exposure, the copper gradually darkens in recessed areas while raised facets remain brighter from occasional contact and cleaning.
As with all handmade pieces, each lamp is unique. Subtle variations in texture, finish, and detail are part of its character and reflect the hands that shaped it.
