Story
Covering nearly the entire exterior, the green oxidized surface gives the shade a uniform appearance from a distance, while closer inspection reveals layered texture and irregular movement across the metal. The form follows a broad hemispherical profile with a clean circular opening that emphasizes width over height. Fine surface ridges, darker undertones, and scattered copper-colored interruptions create subtle variation throughout the patina rather than a flat, consistent finish.
Suspended above a dining table or kitchen island, the wide lower opening focuses light beneath the fixture while leaving the outer shell visually subdued. Differences in oxidation density, texture, and tonal distribution occur naturally between pieces, and the surface will continue to shift gradually as the copper responds to changing environmental conditions over time.
